Job Opportunity: Placement Analysts at Citi – Middle East & Africa Investment Banking Team
Citi is seeking motivated Placement Analysts to join our Investment Banking team in Dubai for a 6-month engagement. This is a unique opportunity to work within the dynamic Middle East & Africa region, where our team provides strategic advisory services on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and initial public offerings (IPOs).
Role Overview:
As a Placement Analyst, you will play a vital role in corporate finance, engaging directly with some of the largest corporations. Your contributions will include executing live transactions and preparing impactful pitches alongside seasoned investment bankers.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with senior bankers on live transactions and pitch preparation as an integral part of the Investment Banking team.
– Assist in creating comprehensive pitchbooks.
– Analyze and evaluate a company’s financial performance in relation to industry and market trends.
– Conduct in-depth industry research and financial data analysis to support transaction activities.
– Develop detailed valuation analyses and financial models, including Comparable Company and Transaction analyses, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models, Leveraged Buyouts (LBOs), and Merger Models.

Qualifications:
– Availability to begin work within the next 1-2 months.
– Strong academic background with a minimum of a 2:1 equivalent (3.0 GPA out of 4.0) at the undergraduate level.
– A proactive mindset and intellectual curiosity.
– Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
– Ability to thrive in diverse team environments.
– Fluency in English is required.
