In-Home Aged Care Support Worker – Job Overview
Support older adults (65+) to maintain their independence and live comfortably in their own homes.
Service Areas:
Leeton, Darlington Point, Barellan, Ardlethan, and nearby locations.
Positions Available:
- Open to both newcomers and experienced applicants.
- Permanent part-time roles averaging 20-40 hours per fortnight, with opportunities for additional shifts.
- Competitive hourly rates: $29.06-$32.56 + 11.5% superannuation.
- Travel allowance: $0.92 per kilometer plus paid travel time between appointments.
Important Note: This role does not involve disability support or work in nursing homes or residential facilities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Valid Australian driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Fully vaccinated (minimum 2 doses) for COVID-19.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday between 7 AM and 6 PM.
- Reside within 15-20 km of the service areas for an easy commute and community-focused support.
- Willingness to complete a two-week, paid induction and training program.
Responsibilities
For New Entrants:
- Household Assistance: Perform light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and other household tasks.
- Social Support: Offer companionship, emotional support, and help with unassisted shopping.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain progress notes and reports.
For Experienced Carers:
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living tasks as per their care plans.
- Household Assistance: Perform light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Social Support: Provide transport to appointments and social outings, along with companionship.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain progress notes and reports.
Preferred Experience or Qualifications
- Disability Support Worker
- Assistant in Nursing (AIN)
- Community Services Worker
- Experience as a family caregiver
